Weather|Night frosts may occur in different parts of Finland from the beginning of the week. However, the southern parts of the country are spared from night frosts.
Motorists at the beginning of the starting week, you should be more attentive than usual in the morning traffic, says the meteorologist on duty at the Finnish Meteorological Institute Pinja Rauhamäki. The reason is the night frosts, which can cause black ice in different parts of Finland.
Night frosts are expected, especially in Lapland, where night frosts are predicted for the nights of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Night frosts may hit the western parts of the country on the night before Monday. On Tuesday, night frosts may come to the eastern parts of the country, following Rauhamäki. On the night before Wednesday, night frosts may occur in the central parts of the country.
There are no night frosts coming to the southern parts of the country.
In traffic according to Rauhamäki, you should be especially careful if you are driving early in the morning.
“Fortunately, however, the weather forecasts do not show a lot of water rain, as they would increase the slipperiness of the roads. An observant person will be fine in traffic,” says Rauhamäki.
According to Rauhamäki, night frosts are affected by cloudiness. Clear nights increase the likelihood of night frosts.
Weather will become dustier and sunnier in the beginning of the week in southern Finland. A high pressure area arrives in Finland from the south, which keeps the weather pleasant, according to Rauhamäki.
Temperatures stay around 12 degrees in southern Finland. Temperatures are normal for the season.
