On the occasion of TGS 2024 Square Enix also presented several new features arriving for Final Fantasy 14condensed especially in the patch 7.1 called Crossroadscoming in November and focusing on new parts of the story and various additions to the gameplay.
In a letter dedicated to players, director Naoki Yoshida made it clear that the new patch will focus mainly on Zoraal Jaso it is possible that some additional background will emerge on the character’s history and on his relationship with his son, which on the other hand is justified by the time jump represented by Dawntrail.
Patch 7.1 will also bring a new dungeon which is called Yuweyawata Field Station and seems to be represented by a sort of research structure to explore, in which several interesting encounters will take place.
New quests, dungeons, characters and more
In addition to the new MSQ quests and new dungeons, Yoshida also revealed that the patch will also introduce new Allied Society quests for Dawntrail.
Apparently, these focus on a new character, a Pelupelu trader.
There’s no further information at the moment, but it appears that this is a fairly high-level series of missions, suitable for players who are leveling jobs around 100.
In addition to all these elements, Patch 7.1 “Crossroads” will also include additional role missions, which will unlock once players have completed all previous missions for all role types.
Crafters and gatherers will receive more quests from Wachumeqimeqi, while Hilidibrand heads to Tural this patch. There is no precise release date yet, but the launch is expected around mid-November.
