The Russian Presidential Property Management Department has begun purchasing Lada Aura vehicles
The Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation is purchasing the first premium-class Lаda Aura cars as part of import substitution measures. This was reported with reference to the press service of the department RIA Novosti.
It is specified that the specified vehicles in standard configuration will be delivered to the motor transport agencies subordinate to the Head of State’s Property Management Department, where they “will be used in accordance with the regulations for assignment to state civil servants.”
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, linked the possible start of using the Lada Aura, which is entering serial production, by officials with the upcoming study of its characteristics.
The car, which AvtoVAZ expects to be in demand in budget organizations and among civil servants, was tested in July by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He drove this Lada on the M-11 highway and called the car good. Later, the Russian leader confirmed his review, indicating that the Lada Aura is a comfortable and controllable car.
Last week it became known that the cost of the basic model of the business sedan in a simplified configuration, which will also be supplied to taxi companies, will be 2.6-2.8 million rubles. The agency points out that the new premium class model is distinguished by a 25-centimeter-larger interior for rear-seat passengers, the interior is made of genuine Russian-made leather.
