The Fadi 3 missile was first revealed during the bombing of the Shimshon base, which is a command and equipment center and a regional equipment unit in the Israeli army.
Channel 12 Israel reported, citing sources, that 105 rockets were fired at areas in northern Israel in response to the bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut.
On Sunday, Hezbollah used Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles to target the Ramat David base and airport, in response to the repeated Israeli attacks that targeted various Lebanese regions and led to the deaths of many civilians.
The missile was named after Fadi Hassan Tawil, who was killed in May 1987 in a Hezbollah confrontation with Israeli forces.
According to Lebanese media, Fadi al-Tawil is the brother of prominent Hezbollah leader Wissam al-Tawil, who was assassinated by Israel in January 2024.
