One person has died and three others have been injured after a bull escaped from a bull run in the Toledo town of Pantoja (3,300 inhabitants), according to information provided by the Castilla-La Mancha 112 emergency service. Among those affected is a girl, health sources add to Efe.
The call was received at 10.34 from the bullring in the aforementioned town in Toledo, where a bullfight was taking place, and when one of the bulls jumped over a fence. The same sources have specified that the Local Police have shot down the animal and that the Illescas ICU, a basic life support ambulance and the preventive health service of the event are working at the scene.
The local council, which is celebrating the Santa Bárbara festivities these days, had broadcast part of the bull run this morning. On its Facebook profile it reported that a bull had escaped and later that it had been shot. The programme of festivities included a release of the bulls on Tuesday at 10:00 “following the usual route”.
