Yesterday, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai celebrated the 94th Saudi National Day by organizing a series of activities and events, including lighting the smart gates in green. This is due to the depth of the fraternal relations and the solid strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
First-class officers at the Dubai Residency wore scarves bearing the flags of the two countries, while passport officers at Dubai airports welcomed Saudi visitors with flowers, flags, Arabic coffee, dates and souvenirs, embodying the special relations that unite the two peoples in religion, language, history, customs and traditions.
The festive atmosphere was also marked by the lighting of the smart gates in green, and the presentation of gifts to the children who were welcomed by the two beloved cartoon characters, “Salem and Salama.”
The Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, stressed the depth of relations with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are strengthened by the country’s leaders and rulers of the Emirates. He also pointed to the closeness of the two brotherly peoples to each other, and the constant hospitality of Saudi travelers, as if they were in their second home.
He added that Dubai Residence provides all facilities to complete travel procedures very quickly, and provides all forms of support to Saudi travelers on this national occasion that is dear to everyone’s hearts, pointing out that Saudi National Day receives special attention, due to its uniqueness and historical value.
