Sham FM: Lebanese Flow Heading to Syrian Border Due to Israeli Strikes
A flood of Lebanese is heading towards the Syrian border amid Israeli strikes on settlements in southern and eastern Lebanon, a Syrian radio station reports. Sham FM.
“An intense flow of people is heading towards the Lebanese border with Syria in the El-Qusayr area at the same time as the Israeli strike on the Lebanese town of El-Hermel near the border,” the journalists said.
Earlier it became known that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked more than 150 Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon on September 23. The day before, the Israeli side recorded the launch of more than 100 rockets from Lebanon. Deputy Secretary General of the Shiite Hezbollah movement Naim Qassem said that the movement had entered a new stage of the conflict with Israel.
At the same time, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN Danny Danon said that Israel does not seek war, but will defend its people, homes and land if necessary. He also noted that since October 2023, eight thousand rockets have been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel. The Permanent Representative emphasized that Israel continues to fight terrorism “on various fronts.”
