In Moscow, an apartment owner combined a balcony with a kitchen and provoked the anger of neighbors
In Moscow, the owner of one of the apartments in a multi-story building made a popular redevelopment and angered his neighbors. Other owners considered such renovations to be potentially dangerous, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the Moscow Housing Inspectorate.
The case in point is a house on Nezhinskaya Street in the Ochakovo-Matveyevskoye district. A resident of one of the apartments demolished the wall between the balcony and the kitchen. It turned out that the structure was load-bearing. In addition, the Muscovite made a combined bathroom out of a separate one and replaced the plumbing.
“The Moscow Housing Inspectorate brought the owner of the property to administrative responsibility and ordered him to bring the apartment into compliance with technical documentation,” the department said. The experts noted that the owner of the problematic apartment had already corrected the deficiencies: he installed a French window, reinforced the opening in the load-bearing wall with metal structures, and legalized the redevelopment.
Previously, the neighbors were angered by a Muscovite who arranged a terrace for himself on the roof of the house. In addition, he installed a new door that prevents access to the emergency exit stairs.
