Federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL), supported by Jair Bolsonaro, is in 2nd place, with 32% of voting intentions
AtlasIntel survey released this Monday (September 23, 2024) shows the current mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD), candidate supported by the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), with 48.6% of voting intentions, leading the race for Mayor of Rio.
The former president’s candidate Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the federal deputy Alexander Ramagem (PL), appears in 2nd place in the survey, with 32% of the votes. He is followed by the PSOL candidate, federal deputy Tarcisio Motta (8.9%).
Here are the results of the stimulated scenario (when the candidates’ names are presented):
- Eduardo Paes (PSD) – 48.6%;
- Alexandre Ramagem (PL) – 32%;
- Tarcisio Motta (Psol) – 8.9%;
- Carol Sponza (New) – 3.4%;
- Marcelo Queiroz (PP) – 0.9%;
- Rodrigo Amorim (Union) – 0.6%;
- Juliet Pantoja (UP) – 0.5%;
- Cyro Garcia (PSTU) – 0.1%;
- Henry Simonard (PCO) – 0.1%;
- blank/null/none: 2.5%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer: 2.7%.
The survey was conducted by AtlasIntel from September 17 to 22, 2024. A total of 1,610 people aged 16 or over were interviewed in Rio. The confidence interval is 95% and the margin of error is 2 percentage points, either way. The survey is registered with the TSE under number RJ-03345/2024. It cost R$35,000. The amount was paid by the company itself.

- Eduardo Paes (PSD) – 58%;
- Alexandre Ramagem (PL) – 36%;

- Tarcisio Motta (Psol) – 16%;
- blank/null/none: 26%;
