Dragon Age: The Veilguard It is a series that reinvents itself in various aspects with each chapter, such as the combat system, exploration and so on and from this point of view, the developers at Bioware have tried to revisiting elements from previous fan-favorite gamesat least according to game director Corinne Busche.
Speaking to Gamesradar+, Busche said that “both the biggest challenge and the most interesting opportunity” of The Veilguard is the series’ flexibility, as “Every single Dragon Age reinvents itself in some ways; the combat system, how we approach the world, the levels and so on,” he said. “What it allowed us to do was look back and think “what are the fan favorite features in all the previous games of Dragon Age, and does it make sense to continue them?”
There’s a bit of Origins, a pinch of Dragon Age 2 and a sprinkling of Inquisition
Busche added that Dragon Age: The Veilguard in some ways fishing from all previous games of the series under different scopes. For example, he states that “the rapid weapon switching during combat” comes from Dragon Age: Originsincluding other elements that are “a love letter” to fans of this game.
At the same time, “you will see that There’s a lot of Dragon Age 2” as far as the fast-paced, action-oriented combat system goes. And again, “The DNA of Inquisition” is represented by the “depth of the companions’ story arcs and they are integrated into the game world”.
“I think I can speak for the entire team: our hope is that all of this comes together to respect the series’ past, but also to move the franchise forward into its next adventure,” Busche added.
