In the first round of the new Champions League, the youngsters were the stars! From Lamine Yamal to George Ilenikhena, including Endrick, many of them found the net. But who are the youngest scorers in the history of the competition?
The Champions League matchday 1 brought a number of verdicts on Thursday evening after three days of football across Europe. The matchday left a bittersweet taste for the Spanish teams. Real Madrid defeated Stuttgart (3-1) at the Santiago Bernabéu with goals from Mbappé, Rudiger and Endrick while Undav scored the German goal. And Atlético de Madrid also took all three points after beating Leipzig 2-1 at the Civitas Metropolitano, thanks to a goal from Giménez in the last minute. Before that, Sesko and Griezmann had scored in the first half.
On the other hand, both FC Barcelona and Girona lost against two French clubs. The Blaugranas were beaten in Monaco (2-1), with Lamine Yamal scoring the goal for Flick’s team. And Girona made their debut in this competition by losing 1-0 to PSG at the Parc des Princes.
In any case, if there is one thing we have seen in this round, it was goals, some of them scored by the tournament’s young players. So, it is a good opportunity to take a look at the list of the youngest scorers in the history of the competition.
