Hagari said that Hezbollah stores cruise missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, rocket launchers and drones inside civilian homes, exploiting the civilian population.
“We are monitoring these activities, observing the combat means and destroying them through precise raids,” Hagari added.
During his speech on Monday, Hagari showed a video explaining how Hezbollah stores weapons.
Hagari gave an example of a raid carried out a few weeks ago: “We are exposing for the first time the method of operation of Hezbollah terrorists, who hide a cruise missile inside a civilian house, where they create a ‘special opening’ to carry out the launch operation.”
He continued the explanation: “From there, they launch a cruise missile towards Israeli territory.”
The video published by the Israeli army showed a house with a space designated for a missile, and a front opening from which the missile was launched.
The Israeli army spokesman’s statements came an hour after the Israeli army launched “intensive strikes” on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
“To the residents of the villages in Lebanon, in the coming period we will attack terrorist targets in Lebanon,” Hagari said in a press conference following the strikes.
He warned: “Anyone who is near homes or facilities where Hezbollah hides its weapons, we call on you to move away from them immediately. Hezbollah is putting you and your families at risk.”
