Doctor Sukhorukova: You should give up eggs if you have high cholesterol and allergies
Allergy sufferers, as well as people suffering from high cholesterol or acute pancreatitis, are advised to refrain from eating eggs. She warned about the danger of this product for some people in a conversation with RIA Novosti Gastroenterologist at the Vidnovskaya Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region Lyudmila Sukhorukova.
She pointed out that eggs are a highly allergenic product and are contraindicated for patients who are allergic to chicken protein. In addition, eggs should be consumed with caution in case of liver and gallbladder diseases, as the yolk has a choleretic effect and can provoke an exacerbation of gallstone disease.

“Eggs should also not be consumed by those with very high cholesterol. On the one hand, eggs contain cholesterol compensated by lecithin. Eggs do not have any negative effect on a healthy person, since lecithin does not allow cholesterol to settle on the walls of blood vessels, but a sick person should consume egg yolk with extreme caution,” the doctor explained.
Sukhorukova warned that diabetics should be careful about eating eggs, because their blood vessels are usually already damaged by sugar, they have damage, so the risk of developing atherosclerosis is significantly higher.
