A couple of weeks ago there was a strange streak in PlayStationsince it was officially launched Astro Bot in PS5a game that has turned out to be one of the best AA creations from the studios of Sonyand as a result sales were acceptable, something that cannot be said of Concorda multiplayer title that closed 11 days after becoming available. In fact, the little robot game managed to sell more than the one developed by Firewalk in just two days after its release.
According to a report by Christopher Dring from GamesIndustry.biz, the game of Team Asobi has surpassed physical sales in the United Kingdom to that created by Firewalkthe recent failure of PlayStation 5. Although sales did not reach exorbitant figures like those of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, far outpaced the other game, which sold only about 25,000 copies across physical and digital formats.
Concorda multiplayer hero shooter was released on August 20 for PS5 and PCbut it failed to compete in a market dominated by free-to-play games. Its launch price of $30 was one of the reasons that limited its success, leading to poor reception from the community and the closure of its servers just two weeks after its debut.
On the contrary, Astro Botdeveloped by Team Asobi, has been a critical success. The game earned a 94 rating on Metacritic, beating out major titles of the year. In addition, the reception on streaming platforms such as Twitch supports its popularity, with 21,400 active viewers, in addition to being classified as the perfect tribute to PlayStation
Remember that one of them is available in PS5 and the other was discharged.
