New Trailer Shows the Seven Heroes’ Backstory and Two New Classes
MILAN (September 19, 2024) – SQUARE ENIX® has released an exciting demo of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Sevena full HD remake of the hit RPG that has sold over 1 million copies since its release in 1993 in Japan. In anticipation of the title’s release on Nintendo Switch™PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®) and PC (Steam®) on October 24, the game is already available for pre-order on all platforms to receive two items that will be very useful during the adventure: Shiyuan’s Tactical Primer and Cat’s Amulet.

In the demo, players will take on the role of Emperor Leon and, together with his second son, Prince Gerard, will embark on a journey that will span generations, as Leon, Gerard and the emperors who come after them will face the Seven Heroes, heroes from the past who, for unknown reasons, now seek vengeance against the world. The demo will end with a battle with Kzinssie, one of the Seven Heroes, marking the beginning of this multi-generational story. Save data can be transferred to the full game, so players can continue their adventure without a hitch when the game launches on October 24.
In Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Sevenwe will embark on an adventure over multiple generations to protect and expand our empire. With the free scenario system, our choices will decide how the story unfolds, including who will inherit the imperial throne in each generation. Developed by the creators of the 2020 remake Trials of Manathis complete remake with an independent story will feature modern graphics, updated strategic gameplay mechanics, and several enhancements that will delight both longtime SaGa fans and new players, including the ability to switch between the classic and rearranged soundtracks and three difficulty levels that can be changed at any time.
