Roma, Juric in Trigoria: contract ready until June

Earthquake in Rome. Daniele De Rossi was unexpectedly fired after four matchdays (and a three-year contract in place) and Ivan Juric, former Torino coach, takes his place. After leaving the Hilton hotel, the Croatian coach arrived in Trigoria a few minutes ago for the signatures and the first training session, welcomed by the fans who asked him (obviously in a very colourful manner) to put the team ‘under the grill’. The fans who came to the stadium protested heavily against the team, especially attacking captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

The Giallorossi number 7 stopped and had a quick exchange of words with the fans. “It’s the fifth coach you’ve fired, graze on the pitch!” And Lorenzo replied: “You must not say this to me!”. A heated atmosphere, in short, a bolt from the blue for the fans who do not understand this drastic choice and, above all, the decision to send away the ‘flag’ De Rossi for Ivan Juric.

Juric should lead the first training session at 5pm. With him also Paro, assistant coach and goalkeeping coach Cataldi. According to rumors, the former Torino coach will have a contract until June 2025. There is an option to extend the contract until June 2026 if AS Roma qualifies for the 2025/26 Champions League.
