Police to check Muscovite’s phone that exploded during Lebanon incident
A phone exploded in a man’s hands on Arbat Street in Moscow. According to journalists, the Honor 70 smartphone detonated on September 18, during a new Israeli cyberattack on wireless devices belonging to the Shiite organization Hezbollah.
As a result of the incident, the man received injuries to his hand, but did not wait for an ambulance and fled. Eyewitnesses called emergency services, who are now searching for the victim.
Amid reports of gadget explosions in Lebanon, law enforcement officials decided to check the phone: was it from the batch of equipment that the Israeli Mossad intelligence service replaced on the Middle East market. However, the explosion was probably caused by a faulty battery.
It is noted that Huawei and Honor phones were actively used by Hamas militants during the attack in October 2023, but Israeli intelligence officials were unable to hack them due to the encrypted ecosystem of Chinese smartphones.

A second series of explosions of communication devices injured 608 people, the Lebanese Health Ministry said. Twenty-five people could not be saved.
The day before, multiple pager explosions occurred in several areas of Lebanon, including the southern suburb of Beirut. The Palestinian movement Hamas blamed Israel for the incident.
