The Brazilian institute Paraná Pesquisas released a survey on the presidential election in the United States. The survey was conducted in six swing states, that is, those where it is not clear whether Democrats or Republicans will win and which, in the American electoral college model, are decisive in the election.
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party candidate, appeared with 49% of voting intentions and Republican and former President Donald Trump, with 44%. Seven percent of those interviewed declared themselves undecided.
A total of 2,581 interviews were conducted with voters aged 18 or older who said they intended to vote in the presidential election in the states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Paraná Pesquisas did not break down the results by state.
The online interviews were conducted between September 12 and 17. The work was done in partnership with the American company Dynata Data Quality, which collected the data.
The survey’s confidence level is 95% and the margin of error is 2 percentage points.
