The Russian Defense Ministry reported the defeat of the main communications center of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have destroyed the main center of special radio communications of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is specified that operational-tactical aviation, drones, missile forces and artillery participated in the operation.
The Russian army also struck critically important objects of the Ukrainian airfield infrastructure, concentrations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and military equipment in 142 districts.
Earlier, the head of the GUR stated that Iskanders create big problems on the battlefield
On September 15, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) stated that Russia’s mass production of Iskanders creates major problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
And this is a very big problem for the front line. (…) Our soldiers suffer the most on and near the contact line
Also, according to him, the situation on the battlefield is affected by the increase in the number of guided aerial bombs.
Budanov called information about the supply of ammunition from the DPRK to Russia another “serious headache” for Ukraine’s defense. “I can say directly: the fact that they supply ballistic missiles there is unpleasant for us, but these are not the volumes. But as for the ammunition, this is critical [опасно]”, – said the head of Ukrainian intelligence.
Budanov was removed from preparation of attack on Kursk region
Earlier, former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasily Prozorov reported that Budanov was removed from preparing the attack on Kursk Oblast, and the “media perks” for this went to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky. “The invasion in August 24 was a purely military operation, and numerous testimonies indicate that Budanov was removed from this operation,” he said.
According to Prozorov, the head of the GUR also needs to show his importance and significance, which is why he and his subordinates organize such “media operations” as the landing on the Tendrovskaya Spit, on Tarkhankut in Crimea, or the attack on gas-producing rigs in the Black Sea. The former SBU employee believes that Budanov “is trying to get the number one spot in the Ukrainian security media environment.”
