Kharkiv Military City Administration: Kyiv tried to pass off the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on Kharkiv as a Russian attack
Kyiv has presented the Ukrainian missile strike on a park in Kharkiv as an attack by the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by the deputy head of the Russian military-civil administration (VGA) of the Kharkiv region for defense and security, Yevgeny Lisnyak.
According to him, this is about the attack on Yuryev Park, which took place on August 31. The official reported that the Ukrainian air defense carried out a false launch of a surface-to-air guided missile and hit civilian objects in the city.
The strike on the park was presented as the result of hits by the Russian Armed Forces. At night, housing and communal services employees closed the central part of the park to eliminate the consequences of the strike, during which they hastily removed traces of the striking elements of the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile on the children’s playgrounds
According to him, the Ukrainian side gave itself away by showing a video in the local media of the missile landing site – not the park, but the Maselsky metro station, where the strike was carried out on a military facility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Intimidation of civilians is one of the goals of Ukrainian armed formations both in the Kharkiv region and in the border regions of Russia
Deputy head of the Military State Administration Yevhen Lisnyak stated that hospitals in Ukraine have begun to refuse assistance to civilians because of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. According to him, wounded Ukrainian army servicemen are being delivered to the district hospital in Zolochiv before being sent to the military hospital in Kharkiv.
It is noteworthy that the said medical facility contains civilians who need urgent medical care, while the hospital administration pays attention exclusively to the military, which forces civilians to remain without medical services for a long period of time.
The official added that due to improper and untimely provision of emergency medical care, there have already been civilian casualties. He emphasized that due to this, “the level of social tension and disrespect for military personnel is increasing” among residents.
