The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat announced today, Wednesday, the start of registration for the upcoming Hajj season 1446 AH / 2025 AD, via the smart application and the authority’s website, starting tomorrow, Thursday, September 19, and continuing until the 30th of the same month, calling on those wishing to perform the Hajj to take the initiative to register during that period, as part of its early preparations and strategy that is in line with the vision of the government of the United Arab Emirates.
The Authority confirmed that the conditions for obtaining a Hajj permit for the upcoming season include that the applicant be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, that the applicant be at least 12 years old, and that the applicant has not performed Hajj during the last 5 Hajj seasons.
She explained that according to Cabinet Resolution No. (32) of 2018 regarding the Hajj and Umrah system, priority in granting Hajj permits is given to those who have not previously performed Hajj, including people of determination, people with incurable diseases, the elderly, and mahrams and companions who meet the conditions, taking into account those who have priority in registering in the electronic system.
She revealed that the state’s share for the upcoming Hajj season 1446 AH amounts to 6,228 pilgrims, which were allocated by the authorities responsible for Hajj affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Authority stressed its keenness to follow the best practices and highest quality standards in providing services in civilized ways that achieve happiness and well-being for pilgrims, in cooperation with its strategic partners.
She said that she is committed to ensuring that the approved Hajj campaigns for this season provide the best programs and services to pilgrims; through monitoring, inspection and auditing all service contracts, and ensuring their validity, including housing, transportation, food and subsistence, in addition to field visits by specialized inspection teams to evaluate the services provided in the holy sites, noting that she relies on studying the prices of performing Hajj according to the market situation for this season through the Licensing Committee, and works to provide programs whose prices are suitable for those with limited income by supporting the campaigns contributing to the “Economic Hajj Program.”
The Authority stated that it seeks, in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to issue Hajj permits and “Nusuk” cards to ensure the organization of pilgrims’ entry and provide them with all facilities during the performance of the rituals, in addition to preparing the developed sites and camps in the holy sites by attracting the best companies and institutions, and forming specialized field work teams to ensure the happiness, comfort and safety of the country’s pilgrims, in addition to providing all medical, legal and logistical services to the country’s pilgrims according to the highest specifications and standards.
The Authority stated that it will conduct a periodic evaluation of the Hajj campaigns and all administrative, legal and medical teams within them, over a period of 24 hours, in coordination with strategic partners, to ensure their commitment to the specified standards to ensure continuous improvement, through an integrated evaluation system that includes taking into account the reports of specialists, pilgrims’ observations, and the opinions and suggestions of the public through accurate and fair questionnaires.
She said that she is preparing awareness programs and initiatives for the country’s pilgrims and the target audience in various legal, health and administrative aspects, including many events, seminars, lectures, interactive workshops and educational clips via various media platforms, in addition to preparing to launch the “Emirates Pilgrims Forum” in its second session. She will also work to provide dedicated call centers in all branches of the authority, to meet the needs of the public during the season and respond to their inquiries via various communication channels.
