A hotline for evacuation from Toropets has been opened in the Tver region
On the night of Wednesday, September 18, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched missiles and dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at Russian territory. The Smolensk, Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol and Tver regions came under attack.
In the last of them, the city of Toropets suffered greatly. A fire started on the outskirts of the city due to falling drone debris. As a result, local authorities announced a partial evacuation of the population and opened a hotline for questions about the evacuation of residents. You can ask them by calling (4822) 390982.
The Toropetsky District Administration assured that “the situation is under control.” Residents were urged not to publish photographs from the drone crash site for safety reasons.
In addition, the work of kindergartens and schools was suspended in the Zapadnodvinsky municipal district of the Tver region.

Kursk Region Governor Alexey Smirnov reported that on the night of September 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the region with 2 missiles and 27 aircraft-type UAVs. They were shot down by an air defense system.

What is known about the attack on other regions?
Ukraine launched seven aircraft-type UAVs at the Smolensk region. In the city of Yelnya, a drone fell onto the roadway, and UAVs were also destroyed in Roslavl. No one was injured initially, and no damage was recorded.
Another 16 drones were shot down by air defense forces over Bryansk, one over Oryol, and three over Belgorod regions. In total, according to the Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 54 drones at five regions of Russia (Smolensk, Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, and Oryol regions).
The Defense Ministry called Ukraine’s actions an attempt to commit a terrorist attack on targets in Russia. No other details were given about the situation.
