A resident of the Kursk region spoke about acrid yellow smoke after attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
A pensioner from the Kursk region said that after massive attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), residents were suffocating from acrid yellow smoke. The words of the Russian woman, who was evacuated from the border area, are reported by RIA Novosti.
“A bomb fell in the neighbors’ barn. It started to burn. The smoke was thick, thick, yellow,” the woman said.
According to her, it was dangerous and impossible to breathe because of the smoke, which is why residents ran out into the streets. The pensioner’s neighbor and his family were also forced to leave their home.

Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on people who were trying to escape from Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region across the fields. Footage taken from reconnaissance drones of the 44th Army Corps fighters shows a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) firing at fleeing Kursk residents.
Fighting in the Kursk region has been going on for over a month, and a federal emergency and counter-terrorist operation regime have been declared in the region. On September 11, Russia launched a counteroffensive in the border area and regained control of at least 10 settlements.
