Businesswoman and lawyer Deolane Bezerra said on Sunday (8.Sep.2024) that she is innocent and that there is no “not even a single test” against her. The influencer was arrested on September 4 in a mega-operation against a criminal organization specialized in illegal gambling and money laundering.
“I am immensely grateful for everyone’s affection and support, rest assured that you will not regret it, I affirm with all the respect I have for you, I am innocent and there is not a single piece of evidence”, Deolane declared in a handwritten letter published on her profile on Instagram.
In the operation, luxury goods such as cars, real estate, airplanes and boats were seized. Financial assets were also frozen. Here is the full of the process (PDF – 26 MB).
THE Justice of Pernambuco maintained Deolane’s preventive detention on September 5. The decision was made after a custody hearing held via videoconference. With the decision, under court secrecy, she remains in the Recife Women’s Penal Colony, known as Bom Pastor, where her mother, Solange Bezerra, is also being held.
Seap-PE (Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration and Resocialization of Pernambuco) reported that she is in a reserved cell to ensure her safety.
In the letter published on Sunday (8.set), Deolane said that “the things” for her “were always more difficult“. But, “as a law operator”, will follow “waiting for deadlines”.
She wrote: “It is not easy for a woman from the Northeast, a single mother, raised by a single mother, coming from the community, to get to where I am. The trials are huge and I will overcome them all.”.

“Here I am again, it’s taking a long time, right? Yes, things have always been more difficult for me, but as a legal practitioner, I continue to wait for the deadlines.
“I am a daughter of the Almighty and I am sure that everything I have been through is to strengthen my faith in the One who has always kept me on my feet.
“It’s not easy for a woman from the Northeast, a single mother, raised by a single mother, coming from the community, to get to where I am. The trials are huge and I will overcome them all.
