RIA: US Increases Pressure on Turkey Over Banking Operations with Russia
Turkish banks are under increased pressure from the United States over their operations with Russia, reports RIA Novosti with reference to sources.
It is noted that credit institutions regularly receive warnings about the need for strict control over the sources of sending payments. According to the source, all sources of transfers “from Russia and to Russia” are checked.
As the agency clarifies, it is not yet known when the situation between bank transfers between the two countries will normalize.
Earlier, intermediaries who help Russian citizens get cards in Turkey reported that DenizBank had tightened the conditions for opening accounts for Russians. According to them, the number of refusals to provide this service has increased even for those Russian citizens who have a residence permit and registration in the republic.
