Donald Trump and Kamala Harris Separated by 1 Percent in US Voter Poll
The ratings of US presidential candidates Donald Trump, representing the Republican Party, and Democrat Kamala Harris are almost equal, The New York Times and Siena College reported, citing a study Reuters.
Trump’s approval rating, according to a national poll released Sept. 8, was 48 percent, while Harris’s was 47 percent.
The poll also found that American voters want to know more about Harris while their opinion of Trump is largely set. Twenty-eight percent of respondents agreed that they want more information about the Democrat. Just 9 percent of respondents said yes to the same question about her rival.
The study says the margin of error in the estimates is around 3 percent and concludes that either candidate could win the November 5 US presidential election.
Trump and Harris will debate on September 10.
