Sangiuliano Case, Boccia: “Reports are made, not threats or it’s extortion”
“Genny hasn’t apologized to me yet and continues to threaten to file a complaint. You don’t threaten to file a complaint, you make one, and these constant threats have the flavor of extortion.” He wrote on Instagram Mary Rosaria Bocciareferring to former minister Gennaro Sangiuliano.
A new chapter in a saga that does not seem to be coming to an end, not even after the minister’s resignation. Sangiuliano, in the letter sent to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni where he announced his step back, expressed the will to denounce those who spread “fake news”.
“But I wonder: – Boccia writes again on Instagram – can a person who resigned as Minister and who told so many lies return to work in public television service? Can someone who manipulates the truth work for state TV, and moreover in command roles? PS Are you hungry for truth or money?”.
Attorney Salvatore Sica, Sangiuliano’s lawyer, explained that “the complaint is being processed” and that he intends to “file it at the beginning of next week”. “I will meet with the former minister and we will proceed by attaching to the complaint a series of documents, which demonstrate the absolute correctness of my client’s conduct. It is undeniable that the former minister, in my opinion, was the object of illicit pressure from Dr. Boccia which – in my opinion, but the decision will be up to the magistrates – prefigure the crime of attempted extortion”.
“In the document that we will make available to the prosecutors, we will provide a chronological and detailed reconstruction of this affair which is and remains very private.”
