Defendants in case of dry rations for Russian Armed Forces charged in new version
Top managers of the Gryazinsky Food Plant Valery Kovalevich and Alexander Mikhailenko and defendants in the case of supplying low-quality dry rations to the Russian Armed Forces have been charged in a new version. A source in law enforcement agencies reported this RIA Novosti.
“On the day of their arrest, Kovalevich and Mikhailenko were charged with committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 160 (“misappropriation or embezzlement of someone else’s property on an especially large scale, committed by an organized group”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Later, both were charged under a new version,” he said.
The agency’s interlocutor did not specify the details of the new accusation. The company’s top managers were arrested on April 20, they are accused of improper provision of catering services for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Earlier it became known that new defendants may appear in the case of the supply of low-quality dry rations for the Russian Armed Forces. A number of people from the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense are witnesses in this case, but during the investigation they may be charged, after which their procedural status will change.
