On the track before the holidays
The seventh appointment of the season on the circuit of starts today with the first free practice sessions. The world championship leader, after his victory in Race 2 at Assen, won the three following weekends with 100% success, taking Superpole, Race 1, Superpole Race and Race 2. A possible victory in Race 1 in Portugal would also allow the #54 BMW rider to take 11 consecutive victories, equalling the record held by Jonathan Rea and Alvaro Bautista.
