Plot
Luca is a former actor turned diction teacher: a precarious worker of our time who struggles to get paid by his students. One of these (among the few who pay) is Mario Serranò, a good-looking boy who is trying to get rid of his Calabrian accent. One day, while leaving his house, Mario is almost hit by a speeding car, and Luca manages to pull him away just in time, right in front of the eyes of Angela, the boy’s aunt. From that moment on, Angela Serranò will take the disorganized Luca under her wing, who until that moment had no saints in Heaven, and now instead is protected by a string of godfathers: the Serranòs in fact form a very powerful ‘ndrangheta family that holds the fate of the city in its hands.
