Tucker Carlson: “Bitcoin is a CIA creation”

Tucker Carlsonformer Fox News journalist, talks about Bitcoin and he does so in a private meeting in the United States. Carlson is a very famous, talked about and discussed figure in his homeland. Like most of his colleagues at Fox News, his ideas are right-wing, but the host has caused controversy for having dedicated many services considered to be pro-Russia and going against the mainstream American and pro-Western narrative. All this, combined with various things that happened behind the scenes, caused Carlson to be fired from the station.

Carlson, an “annoying” journalist

Carlson worked at CNN in the early 2000s, then moved to competitor Fox News where he worked until last year before being fired. In particular, Carlson’s departure from Fox was reportedly due to his support for Donald Trump’s theory of “election fraud” that led to Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.

All this has sparked a lot of controversy and now Tucker Carlson is counting on the great support he has at an individual level and, nowadays, he is invited to pro-Trumpian and pro-Moscow programs, where he gives his opinion on various topics with positions that go against what is said by the traditional mass media. Furthermore, he has been the first journalist in the West to have Russian President Vladimir Putin interviewed after the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Carlson Gives His Opinion on Bitcoin

During a private meeting between supporters of the Republican candidate for the White House and former US President Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson stated regarding the origins of cryptocurrency: “It’s pretty obvious that Bitcoin was created by the CIA, we all know that. It came first, like Signal. It’s a trap!

And goes on: “Cryptocurrencies are not here to make money, they are here to change the world. These are not shallow people. These are people who can answer all questions except ‘who was Satoshi?’ Someone should answer that!”. Then, ironically or not, he seems to backtrack during the speech: “I don’t care if it was the CIA…It doesn’t matter. The Bitcoin idea is still great.” The Origin of Conspiracy Theory (?)
