Reynosa, Mexico.- The Reynosa-San Fernando highway was marked by drug blockades on several stretches, so State Guard agents proceeded to clear the route.
By 9:00 a.m., traffic had returned to normal, but patrols continued in response to reports of sightings of “monster” vehicles.
The blockades were recorded at the entrances to the Valle Soleado and Rincón de las Flores colonies, at kilometer 26 and by the El Cortijo Wind Farm.
In the Periquitos area, a large number of punctured tires were reported thrown onto the road, and “monster” vehicles were seen circulating in that rural area.
The State Public Safety Spokesperson reported minutes after 9:00 a.m. that traffic had been restored on the Reynosa-San Fernando route.
There were no official reports of clashes between criminal cells, except in the early morning when there were shootouts due to State Guard pursuits of vehicles with armed men.
