Misadventure for the protagonist of Temptation Island: he can’t renew his documents after the eye surgery
Francesco Chiofalowell-known former competitor of Temptation Island And The Pupa and the Nerdrecently revealed an incredible bureaucratic hurdle he is facing after undergoing a “keratopigmentation“. This surgery allowed him to have a new pair of blue eyes, but it also caused an unexpected problem: the impossibility of leaving Italy.
Chiofalo shared his story on Instagram, explaining that his official documents still list his eyes as dark brown, creating a discrepancy with his current status:
“Unfortunately, after having undergone eye color change surgery, I no longer have valid documents and obviously I can no longer leave the country.”
The issue is further complicated by the lack of a bureaucratic procedure in Italy that allows for updating eye color on official documents. Francis went on to explain that the only way to resolve the situation may be to completely redo all of his documents.
Determined to find a solution, Chiofalo said he would go to the registry office and the district, accompanied by his mother, to try to resolve the problem. While waiting for a solution, Francesco concluded his message hoping to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
“I’m not sure if it’s possible because it could conflict with my birth certificate… we’ll see… of course I hope to resolve this as soon as possible… I can’t be without documents,” he said with concern.
Francesco Chiofalo’s story highlights an unusual bureaucratic problem that could affect anyone who decides to undergo cosmetic modifications not yet covered by Italian law. The hope is that Chiofalo’s case will pave the way for new regulations that can keep pace with the advances in cosmetic surgery.
