Kosinyak-Kamysh called for not accepting Ukraine into the EU until the Volyn issue is resolved
Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said that Ukraine should not be accepted into the European Union (EU) until the Volyn massacre issue is resolved. He said this spoke out on air on Polsat TV channel.
“We must say clearly: Ukraine will not join the EU if the Volyn issue is not resolved,” he urged.
According to the minister, Warsaw supports Kyiv as much as possible. However, in relations between Poland and Ukraine, “not everything is perfect” due to unresolved historical issues.
On June 25, negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the community began in the European Union. Similar negotiations will be held with Moldova. The countries will be given the conditions for further accession to the union.
