Ben Green and Konsta Lappalainen took victory in Race 2 in the #14 Ferrari 296 GT3, bringing Emil Frey Racing’s first win in the series since their last win of 2021 at Zandvoort.
After Lappalainen’s first stint and a great pit stop, it was the British Green who kept the lead and crossed the finish line first. The two drivers concluded in the best possible way a weekend that began with a third place in Race 1.
“In Race 1 we didn’t have the speed to win, but we are very happy to have done it in Race 2,” said the Finn. “The championship remains open and we will give our all in the remaining races.”
The Englishman added: “In Race 1 we couldn’t compete for the top spots, but we settled for third. In Race 2 everything went really well! A great result for the whole team. A fantastic weekend for us.”

The second car of the Swiss team, the #69, entrusted to Thierry Vermeulen and Giacomo Altoè, also protagonist of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe this year, obtained an eighth and 15th place overall.
“A challenging weekend, even though the car had more potential. We need to focus on making fewer mistakes and attacking again in the next race. Congratulations to #14 for the deserved win,” admits the Dutchman.
The Venetian was also disappointed: “We are still investigating what happened in the second qualifying. Our starting position influenced the result of the race. We will reorganize and try again in the next race”.

Thomas Fleming’s return at the wheel of the AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 #71, paired with Eliseo Donno, coincides with fourth place overall in Race 1 and victory in the Silver Cup: the Italian pair thus complete a first test to be framed after having obtained the overall pole position.
The two promising drivers, dominators of the Prancing Horse’s single-make series in 2023, finished Race 2 in 22nd place overall, fourth in class, behind the Piacenza team’s second car, the number 52 of Jef Machiels and Sean Hudspeth, third after fifth place in the first race in the Silver Cup.
In the Bronze Class, double third place for Sky Tempesta Racing with the Ferrari 296 GT3 number 93 of Jonathan Hui and Eddie Cheever.
While the third act of the Endurance Cup will take place next weekend at the Nürburgring, the GTWC Europe Sprint Cup will return to the track at the end of August, from 23 to 25, on the French circuit of Magny-Cours.
