TURIN, JULY 22 – While waiting for the provisions announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on governance, statute and verification of incompatibilities to be implemented to avoid receivership, a new judicial piece has been inserted into the story of the CRT Foundation. This time the judges are targeting former president Fabrizio Palenzona who, as he himself announced, has received a notice of investigation from the Turin prosecutor’s office related to the alleged hidden pact. Palenzona is said to have induced the councilor Corrado Bonadeo to resign. “I cannot but express my astonishment at the news of investigations launched against me for having induced Bonadeo’s resignation and I am at the disposal of the investigating authority for any information on the incident with the certainty of being able to clarify every element of the story” comments the former president of the CRT Foundation who resigned on April 24 denouncing “hidden pacts such as to create a foundation within the foundation and alter the functioning dynamics of the corporate bodies”. “I would like to point out that, as is known, I personally reported to the Supervisory Authority – explains Palenzona – as soon as I became aware of the existence of a hidden pact between members of the bodies of the CRT Foundation promoted on the basis of a collection of signatures by the lawyer Bonadeo. Furthermore, as is also known, I resigned as president of the CRT Foundation when the board of directors of the Foundation considered, by majority vote, the complaint to the Supervisory Authority to be improper and unfounded, so as to also justify the immediate dismissal of the general secretary guilty of having, on my instructions, transmitted the documents to the Ministry of Economy. As for the resignation of the lawyer Bonadeo, who acknowledged himself responsible and author of the so-called hidden pact, every act carried out by me was transparently reported to the bodies of the Foundation and to the supervisory Ministry”. The legal affair, which already involves seven directors of the Turin Foundation, will follow its presumably not short timeframe. Meanwhile, tomorrow morning in Turin the board of directors will meet with a busy institutional agenda that includes various disbursements for the territory. In the afternoon the steering council has also been called in which the discussion will begin while waiting for the prescriptions of the Mef expected this week. In any case, the ministry will give the Foundation a couple of months to implement the measures and therefore everything will be postponed to September.
