Vivendi splits into three. The details
Living is moving forward with a plan announced in December 2023 to split its divisions into separate entities, each of which will be publicly traded.
The group recently informed its Supervisory board regarding the progress of the feasibility study started at the end of last year. The French multinational revealed in a press release that the analyses started in December have confirmed the possibility of carrying out the split, also identifying the most suitable stock exchanges for the different activities.
Plan details include the pricing of Canal+ at the London Stock Exchange, of Havas at Euronext Amsterdam, and the creation of a new entity, the Louis Hachette Groupwhich will be listed on Euronext Growth. The latter will encompass Vivendi’s publishing and distribution operations, including Lagardère SA And Prism Media.
Living will continue to be listed at Euronext Parisfocusing on other strategic areas such as Gameloft. The group said a final decision on completing the demerger plan has not yet been made. A final resolution could be adopted by the end of October, with a vote scheduled for an extraordinary shareholders meeting in December. The demerger will require the approval of at least two-thirds of the shareholders’ votes.
