At sunset today, Saturday, crowds of pilgrims began their journey to Muzdalifah, where they will pray the sunset and evening prayers and spend the night there until dawn on Sunday, the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, the Day of Sacrifice.
The pilgrims spent their day in Upper Arafat, raising their palms of supplication to the Almighty God.
The Saudi General Authority for Statistics announced today, Saturday, that the total number of pilgrims this year reached 1,833,164, including 1,611,310 from outside the Kingdom through various ports, while the number of pilgrims from within the Kingdom reached 221,854 Saudis and residents.
The Hajj continues in good conditions, as the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced “the success of the escalation plans from Mecca and Mina to Upper Arafat.”
