The Coordinating Council for the Labor Market in the country held its first meeting yesterday, headed by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and attended by members including heads and officials of relevant authorities in local governments and representatives of a number of federal government agencies.
The formation of the Council comes in accordance with Cabinet Resolution 25/3, for the year 2024, with the aim of reviewing legislation, policies, strategies, programs and initiatives related to private sector institutions and companies, their registered workers and auxiliary workers, and working to harmonize federal and local systems, regulations and procedures related to the labor market to achieve coordination and integration at the level The country and reviewing local and international reports, results and statistics related to the country’s labor market and coordinating thereon to raise its competitiveness and the country’s leadership globally.
During the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar stressed that the establishment of the Council consolidates the vision of the wise leadership by integrating roles and responsibilities between the federal and local government agencies in the country and unifying endeavors within a joint government work system that enhances the achievements made in terms of the competitiveness of the labor market in the country and confirms its leadership as the best place to live.
