Jurors find Hunter Biden guilty of three felonies
The jury returned a verdict in the case of US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and found him guilty of criminal offenses related to violations in the purchase of weapons. This is reported by Reuters.
It is noted that a jury in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware, found him guilty on all three charges, making Hunter Biden the first child of a sitting American leader to be convicted of a felony.
According to the TV channel CNNHunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000 at sentencing, although he will likely receive a lesser sentence as a first-time offender.
Previously, Hunter Biden filed appeals demanding that the federal weapons charges against him be dropped. The president’s son does not admit his guilt in crimes related to the purchase of weapons, which he committed in 2018. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and claims that he “possessed the weapon for only 11 days.”
