His Highness said: During it, we were briefed on the achievements of the Emirates Genome Council… where the Emirates Genome Program has succeeded in collecting more than 600,000 samples from various parts of the country so far… and work is underway to expand its scope to reach one million… and more than 1,000 of our medical personnel have been trained. To support this program.. The contribution of more than 600,000 citizens within this program ensures the development of a clear map of genetic and hereditary diseases in the country.. and helps to develop medicines specifically for these diseases.. and thus better and stronger health care for future generations.. We call on everyone to cooperate with this national program. Comprehensive medical care will make our society healthier and our generations healthier… A pilot will also be launched during the coming period for pre-marital examination to include all genetic and hereditary diseases.
His Highness stressed that the Emirates Genome Council, headed by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed, has come a long way in consolidating the country’s global scientific position in this field… and benefiting from this new science in developing comprehensive and integrated health care for new generations.
His Highness added: During the meeting, we approved the formation of a working group headed by the Ministry of Economy, to develop the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the country and chart a new path for it and its role in strengthening the economy, opening markets and building new partnerships with the world… and enabling our local companies to enter global markets… accelerated economic growth in The state requires constant structural changes to keep pace with the changes.
His Highness affirmed: We also approved during the meeting, and in economic matters as well, the state’s commitment to the principles and recommendations of the International Code for the Protection of Tourists issued by the United Nations Tourism Organization.
