The Apertura 2024 tournament will start on July 5. This new season of the Liga MX will be somewhat atypical because it will have some forced breaks due to the FIFA Dates and the Leagues Cup will be played. Tigres, one of the most powerful teams in Mexican soccer, will seek to return to a final this semester after a disappointing step in the past.

The Apertura 2024 will have a pause of one month, between matchday 4 and 5, because the Liga MX clubs will have to play the Leagues Cup against the MLS teams. There will also be three breaks for the FIFA Dates in September, October and November.
The Clásico Regio will be played on matchday 12 of Apertura 2024. The cats will face strong teams such as América, Pumas and Chivas de Guadalajara in the first days of the competition.
