On October 25, 2024, video game fans from all over the world will be able to get their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, a new chapter in the famous saga. The title takes players back to the 90s, an era of great changes and global tensions: the new chapter was developed with the aim of offering the most compelling and complex story of the Black Ops series, where nothing is as it seems and every ally could turn out to be an enemy. Activision has announced that the narrative will be full of twists and moments of high tension.
The Black Ops 6 campaign was developed by Raven Software and is set immediately after the events of Black Ops Cold War, released in November 2020. The story takes place in a transition period marked by the end of the Cold War, and players will experience a worldwide adventure, moving from the Russian tundra to the desert of the Middle East, passing through Southern Europe and the United States. During these missions, they will be accompanied by iconic characters such as Frank Woods and Russell Adler, as well as new allies such as Troy Marshall and Jane Harrow. The missions will be varied and engaging, including high-risk heists and espionage activities. Additionally, the campaign will feature a “Safehouse,” an abandoned manor that serves as a hub where players can interact with allies, solve puzzles, and plan subsequent missions.
Black Ops 6 multiplayer, developed by Treyarch, has been designed to offer a renewed gaming experience, thanks to the introduction of Omnimovement. This new movement system allows players to move fluidly and dynamically in all directions, increasing tactical flexibility and freedom of movement. There will be 16 new multiplayer maps available at launch, including 12 6v6 main maps and four Strike maps that can be played in 2v2 or 6v6. The traditional Classic Prestige system returns, giving players even more reason to progress and improve their skills. Theater mode will allow you to relive the best moments from every angle, while new HUD options will allow you to customize the game interface.
The fan-favorite round-based Zombies mode returns. At launch, two new maps will be available: Liberty Falls and Terminus, each offering a mix of powerful weapons, deadly enemies and secrets to discover. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on a variety of platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Battle.net, Microsoft Store, and Steam. The Open Beta will be free on all platforms, and players who pre-order will get early access. Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, and Game Pass Console subscribers will be able to access Black Ops 6 on day one, including exclusive benefits like the Woods Operator Pack and early access to the Open Beta.
