Anna Maria Poggi new president of the Crt Foundation
The jurist Anna Maria Poggi she is the new president of the Crt Foundation. You were appointed by the steering council which met today at the end of the fifteen day extension period granted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.. Fabrizio Palenzona he resigned on 23 April and the new president should have been appointed, according to the Foundation’s Statute, within a month, but the board asked for an extension of time, as suggested by the Mef itself and indicated by the board of auditors.
Poggi was elected with 13 votes out of 15 voters, two blank cards. In total, after the resignation of Gianluca Gaidano, there are 21 councilors and therefore the necessary number of votes for the vote to be valid was 11 (the majority of those entitled to vote). Those who received the notice of investigation as part of the ongoing judiciary investigations for “unlawful influence on the shareholders’ meeting” did not vote. Two councilors were absent for work reasons, but had declared – according to what we learned – their vote in favor of Poggi.
Poggi: “The new general secretary? I would avoid it at the moment”
“As long as there is an inspection, I wouldn’t start signing even substantial contracts from an economic point of view”, declared the new president of Crt Foundation. “We are excellently covered with Dr Venice. The general secretary is a very important figure, it is necessary to deal with the members of the Council. But for now, given the situation that has engulfed the foundation, I wouldn’t worry about it.”
