The appointment with the show hosted by Geoff Keighley is rapidly approaching, and with it the inevitable question: What games will we see at the Summer Game Fest? Between official announcements, clues that leave little room for interpretation and wild (but also very wild) rumours, let’s try to take stock.
First of all a list already exists things that will certainly find space in the showcase which will be broadcast tonight starting at 11pm, and which you can obviously follow live together with the Multiplayer.it editorial team. A full-bodied and interesting list, to which some surprises will inevitably be added: let’s see it.
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
- Metaphor ReFantazio
- Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero
- Alan Wake 2: Night Springs
- Slitterhead
- Dune: Awakening
- The First Descendant
- The new game from Two Star Games
- The new horror game from Blumhouse Games
- Palworld
- Neva
- Honkai: StarRail
- Batman: Arkham Shadow
- The new game in a flagship series from 2K Games (Borderlands 4 or Mafia 4)
- Several announcements from Capcom
- The Among Us animated series
And then there are the rumors
However, it is another list, that of the partners of the Summer Game Fest 2024, that puts us in a position to make some predictions about what hasn’t been announced but what we might see on that stage tonight; starting with LEGO Horizon Adventures, which according to a leak will be presented during the event.
The announcement could also come from Sony Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 expansionsgiven that the game will probably follow a program similar to that implemented with the first chapter, therefore with three DLCs that enriched the story with new adventures and new characters.
As far as Microsoft is concerned, the Summer Game Fest event could be the right opportunity to show a taste of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 before the official reveal expected on June 9thor for some kind of hardware-related news.
Nintendo will not be in the gameas per tradition, but third parties could bring a new chapter of Borderlands to the show and who knows, maybe a teaser of the next BioShock, or even the official confirmation of FIFA 2K245, which has been talked about in recent days.
Will the rumored remakes of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica appear in some way? It’s unlikely to happen, while it would certainly be nice to be able to watch a trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard before the presentation on June 11th and maybe some material related to EA Motive’s Marvel’s Iron Man.
What do you think about it? What are your predictions for the Summer Game Fest showcase? Let’s talk about.
