Toxic Crusaders was shown with a new trailer during the Guerrilla Collective, and although the game doesn’t have a release date yet (it’s scheduled for this year), the developers gave us the opportunity to see it again in action.
Inspired by the classic Toxic Crusaders animated series, this scrolling beat ’em up old school features colorful pixel art graphics and boasts a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players.
We will be able to choose between seven different characterseach with their own repertoire of devastating moves, and unleash your team’s fury to face hordes of monstrous enemies across a seven-level campaign.
The return of a classic
The story of Toxic Crusaders it connects to that of the 90s cartoontherefore acting as a tribute that nostalgics will not be able to ignore, full of funny quotes and featuring a cast of voice actors that includes TeamFourStar.
Accompanied by an exciting soundtrack that mixes metal, punk and rock, we will face spectacular battles within different modes, which include a story mode, a survival mode and a challenge mode full of rewards to unlock.
We will be able to open our way with combos, hit enemies with our special moves, explore levels full of dangers and clear them of hostile presences, including some powerful bosses that will require particular commitment.
As mentioned, Toxic Crusaders doesn’t have a release date yet official, but the trailer confirmed the launch during 2024 in the PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions.
