Bild published Germany’s plan in case of war with Russia
The German government has created an action plan for the population of the republic in the event of an armed conflict with Russia. It was published by a German newspaper Bild.
“NATO troops will be transferred across Germany to the eastern flank, while Bundeswehr forces will also be there. The text directly states that in the event of a simultaneous attack in several places, the state will not be able to help everyone: people need to be ready to cope with difficulties themselves,” the publication reports.
The plan also excludes a ban on the dissolution of the current parliament while “Germany is defending itself.” In addition, the text addresses the issue of potential food shortages. In this regard, it is proposed to introduce standards for food distribution. The government is expected to collect an “emergency supply” of rice, pulses and condensed milk to provide the population with one hot meal a day.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that many German citizens are afraid of the threat of escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. He added that ensuring peace does not mean “throwing out a white flag,” so Germany will continue to “support Ukraine.”
