Microsoft prohibits registering Windows 11 through non-existent email
Microsoft specialists have blocked the popular method of installing Windows 11 through non-existent email. About it reports PCWorld publication.
When installing Windows 11, in order to use all the features of the OS, the system requires you to create an email address. Previously, users could enter a non-existent email and create an account. Media journalists noticed that this popular method of completing installation appears to have been blocked.
Experts explained that many users prefer to register Windows with a non-existent email in order to provide greater control over their personal data. However, now when installing the system, Microsoft will check the relevance of the mailbox.
The material says that at the time of writing, another method of registering Windows was working, in which during installation you need to enter the command oobebypassnro in the line. However, journalists believe that this loophole will be closed in the near future.
At the end of February, entrepreneur Elon Musk criticized Windows computers due to the complex setup procedure. According to him, for full use of the OS, Microsoft began to require the creation of an account, which was not the case before.
