The killer who shot a man with a machine gun in western Moscow has been detained
A killer was caught in Moscow who shot 34-year-old Konstantin Balishansky, the son of a major Russian businessman Andrei Balishansky, in the west of the capital.
After the massacre, the mercenary tried to escape, but was tracked down by security forces in a forest area on Aminevskoye Highway, had a shootout with the police and was seriously wounded.

The capital’s Investigative Committee confirmed that the murder suspect was wounded during the arrest. After the massacre of Konstantin Balishansky, he fled through the residential area of Nezhinskaya Street and Matveevsky Forest, then reached the Aminevskoe Highway, where he was identified.
In a forest area near the intersection of the highway with Nezhinskaya Street (about three kilometers from the scene of the murder), he staged a shootout – it is alleged that the police returned fire at him. The killer himself shot at the security forces at least 15 times. He was wounded in the head by return fire while he was reloading his machine gun. It was even reported that the shooter was eliminated, however, according to the latest data, he survived, but is in serious condition. He was taken away by ambulance, this moment was also recorded video. 112 adds that the killer was detained by the capital’s traffic police.
With him, the killer had an AKS-74U “Ksyukha” assault rifle with a flame arrester and a collimator sight, several magazines with cartridges, a machete, a map of the area, goggles, binoculars, a set of camouflage uniforms, a field first aid kit, dry rations and water.

The murder of Balishansky was planned for about five months
Back in early February, unknown people began to take an active interest in the personal data of the murdered man, including ordering a dossier on him. They studied his daily routes and places where he goes.
It was planned to kill the former skater and IT specialist near the entrance of his house. A criminal in a mask and cap was guarding the businessman’s son there, having covered the intercom cameras. When Balishansky came out, he followed him a few meters and started shooting. The wounded man tried to escape, but already near the construction site the killer caught up with him and finished him off with a shot in the head.
The killer and his victim knew each other, the conflict between them could have occurred over a girl
According to Mash, the killer is 35-year-old Andrei Demin. It is reported that he previously worked as a photographer for an online store selling skateboarding equipment and knew the murdered man. Balishansky’s acquaintances added that the victim and the killer worked together at the Mediasystem Group, which is headed by the father of the deceased. It is also alleged that the conflict between them occurred because of the girl.
IC in Moscow also reported, that the priority version of the murder is “personal conflict based on jealousy.” The version about the contract nature of the murder is not confirmed.

In addition, in 2009, Demin received a four-year suspended sentence for possession and sale of heroin, and in 2018 he was also detained for drug trafficking.
Balishansky was one of the first professional Russian skaters
It is reported that 34-year-old Konstantin Balishansky was one of the first professional Russian skaters – in 2006 he became the first skater of the NikeSB Russia team. In the skater community he is known as Kostya “Switch”. He later worked as a system administrator in the company of his father Andrei Balishansky, who heads the Mediasystem Group, a company that rents out communications equipment.
According to Mash, he also had an expunged criminal record.
Baza addsthat he ended his skateboarding career after a leg injury – at the age of 20 he broke his leg and had a pin installed. After that, Konstantin worked part-time as a loader and repaired computers. According to relatives, after the injury he “could never find himself” and was hot-tempered.
It is clarified that his parents divorced 20 years ago. His mother is in Paris, but, having learned today about her son’s death, she is going to fly to Moscow.
