The first victory will come in 2024
Jorge Martin in Aprilia, Pramac probably in Yamaha. Ducati’s choice to promote Marc Marquez to the official team will most likely lead to one triple loss for the Borgo Panigale house. Jorge Martin has already made his move to Aprilia official, Enea Bastianini is close to joining KTM and the Pramac team has a rich offer from Yamaha to leave Ducati and become the satellite team of the Iwata company.
Jorge Martin is currently the championship leader with 18 points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and 35 over Marc Marquez. The latter was questioned about whether Jorge Martin may have ‘excluded himself’ from the title fight by joining Aprilia. Marc Marquez responded like this: “Knowing Dall’Igna and the Ducati group, Martin will be able to compete for the title – said the eight-time world champion guest of the show ‘El Larguero’ on Cadena Ser – they are very honest and you can earn the title on the track with other colors. The championship is still long and there are still many points up for grabs, anything can happen.”
